Our Stay & Train programs are our most popular! Your dog will be introduced to and work on the following during a Stay & Train program:
Sit, Down, Place
Leash manners / Heel
Waiting at thresholds
Kennel manners
Car manners
Handling & nail dremeling desensitization
Off-leash recall (excludes Puppy Jump Start)

Black Onyx trains out of our home. With this, your dog is able to practice real life before real life happens. It can also make the transition back to your home easier. The kennel room does have a camera where we can check in as needed, when we leave our home.
Our programs focus heavily on state of mind. We want more for your dog than to just show they can sit or lay down, we want to also show they can be calm in those positions and not be just chomping at the bit for it to be over.
These programs are a great foundational start! There will be maintenance and up-keep back home though. If you are looking for a quick-fix or a robot-dog this is not the program for you. Training with your dog doesn’t stop, you’ll need to utilize what they’ve learned and hold them accountable to it for long term success!
3 Week Stay & Train Program

This off-leash program is best for a dog who needs some basic overall manners, but does not have any behavioral issues.

$2,550. There is a $500 non-refundable deposit to book your training. The remaining balance will be due when dropping off your dog. Training equipment (e-collar, prong or starmark collar, leash, and place bed) is included in the price. You will also receive resources to help keep you successful at home.
4 Week Stay & Train Program

This off-leash program is best for a dog who has any minor behavioral issues; such as, minor reactivity, minor resource guarding, minor aggression, minor separation anxiety, etc. and is looking for a start to a healthier mindset and well behaved dog.

$3,350. There is a $500 non-refundable deposit to book your training. The remaining balance will be due when dropping off your dog. Training equipment (e-collar, prong or starmark collar, leash, and place bed) is included in the price. You will also receive resources to help keep you successful at home.
Puppy Jump Start Stay & Train Program

This two-week program is available to dogs 5mo to 10mo old! During this program they will start to learn place, door manners, down, loose leash walking, crate manners, and handling for vet/grooming.

$1,750. There is a $500 non-refundable deposit to book your training. The remaining balance will be due when dropping off your dog. Training equipment (ecollar, slip leash, and place bed) is included in the price. You will also receive resources to help keep you successful at home.
Private Lessons

A weekly lesson with you and your dog for 5 weeks. There is a lot of commitment needed from the owner to complete the practice work between lessons. Not suitable for dogs with behavior issues.
Additional single lessons offered for prior graduates of private lessons or stay & train programs.

5 lesson program, $1,000. Includes all training equipment. ($350 deposit to hold spot)
Single lesson for prior graduates, $100/hr.
Graduate Boarding

Available to prior graduates. If I have space, I will board your dog while you are gone. Inquire with plenty of notice, not available Christmas week. Your dog will get adequate potty breaks, playtime, walks, and daily needs met.

Day Train Refresh

Available to graduates of our programs. Your dog can spend the day with me for a training refresh; tune up, learn something new, or go on an outing!
